Our Facilities
Boarding Facilities
DEKS has modern boarding facilities for both male and female students from the basic school to the senior high school levels. Minimum age for admission to the boarding house is eight (8) years for both boays and girls.
Library
The school has two libraries with almost 7,000 volumes. The Basic school has access to one, while the other is used by the Senior secondary school.
Montessori Discovery Room
DEKS has a modern montesorri discovery room where students choose their own “work” from the Montessori materials. In the Discovery room, children participate in more teacher-directed activities and have time for individual play.
Play Ground
We have a neatly fenced playgrond that enables our pupils to play in safety. The large playground is ideal for large motor development and group activities.
Computer Laboratory
In its bid to give the students the best IT education, the school has commissioned an ultra modern computer laboratory. The lab has enough computers to accommodate all students in a single class at one sitting.
Work Shop
The school has a workshop that offers students a practical feel of technical skills
Science Laboratories
Well stocked science laboratories are available to facilitate the teaching and study of science in the school
Stationery Shop
The school also has a well stocked stationery shop to enable students and parents have easy and affordable access to stationery.
Canteen and Snack Shop
The school has a modern canteen that serves a variety of nutritious dishes in a very hygienic environment. There is also a snack shop to cater for the desserts of students
School Buses
The school has a number of buses that operateThe school operates bus services through the following routes:
Route One:
Bethlehem, Kakasunanka 1 & 2, Michel Camp, Afienya, Sackey and Golf City .
Route Two:
Ashaiman, Roman Down, Valco Flat, Ashaiman High School / Channel 11 Area, Lebanon Zone 4 & 5, Com. 22 and Annex, Ashaiman New Town, Ashaiman Official Town, Ashaiman Middle East, Motorway Roundabout and Com. 9.
Route Three:
Prampram, Dawhenya and Kpone.
Route Four:
Lashibi/Klagon, Nungua Barrier, Sakumono Estate, Sakumono Main, Communities 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7.
Additional routes would be considered with the acquisition of new buses. |
